In book two, the adventure continues with the elves, dwarves and Galbatorix still pursuring. Eragon lives with the Elves while he is in training for battle and becomes an elf.

The second of the series about the kingdom of Wodenberry is about twins Adele and Eleda who are identical opposites of each other.  Adele is a safe-keeper who keeps secrets for people of the village and Eleda who is telling the story is a truth-teller who must always tell the truth to people even when she wishes she wouldn't have to.  They become involved in their own romance and the romances of the royalty of the kingdom.  This book should delight young teen girls with a bit of Cinderella and a bit of fantasy.

In the first of a new fantasy series, young Henry, whose home is in New York, is staying with his aunt and uncle and his three cousins in Kansas because his parents are missing in South America.  His room is in the attic, and he soon finds that one whole wall is full of mysterious cupboards behind the plaster, cupboards which are portals to other worlds.  Though it seems an implausible plot, it is no more implausible than going between two platforms in a train station and hopping the Hogwarts Express.  N.D. Wilson, whose Leepike Ridge was delightful, now brings us the beginning of Henry's strange adventures, and readers will be clamoring for the next installment.

Yolen puts a new twist on the Arthur legend. Arthur is a young king but the people do not trust him yet. So Merlin (Merlinnus) devises a plan to overcome this lack of trust. Through the use of his magic, he thrusts a sword into a stone and announces that whoever can pull it out is the rightful king. Merlin, of course, plans to help Arthur to pull it out. However, someone else pulls it out first. The characters are wonderfully developed in this fantasy.
